2Quotes and Estimates
Any quote or estimate we provide is based on the information available at the time, including descriptions, photographs, videos, site access, and any discussions with you.
Unless clearly stated otherwise:
- Quotes are based on the visible and disclosed condition of the property or item
- Hidden defects, previously covered damage, and unforeseen works are not included
- Additional works, labour, materials, specialist attendance, parking, congestion, disposal, or access-related costs may apply where necessary
Quotes may be revised where:
- The original information was incomplete or inaccurate
- The scope changes
- Additional works are discovered
- Access arrangements differ from what was originally described
3Bookings and Acceptance
A booking is treated as accepted when we confirm it, or when you instruct us to proceed, whichever happens first.
We may decline or reschedule work where:
- Access is not available
- The environment is unsafe
- The required scope falls outside the agreed service
- Specialist attendance or materials are needed
- Circumstances arise beyond our reasonable control
4Deposits and Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Smaller jobs may be payable in full on completion
- A 50% deposit is standard for many booked works, particularly where materials, scheduling, or preparation are involved
- Larger jobs may be split into 3 or 4 stage payments
- In some cases, the initial deposit may be 40%, with the remaining balance paid in agreed stages across the project
Payment terms may vary depending on the size, duration, and nature of the work. Where a deposit is required, your booking may not be secured until the deposit is received.
5Additional Works
Unforeseen works may arise during the job. Where additional labour, materials, specialist input, protection, disposal, or remedial work is required, additional charges will apply once discussed and agreed with the client.
We will aim to explain any such findings clearly before proceeding where reasonably possible.
6Materials
Unless otherwise agreed:
- Materials may be charged separately, or included where expressly stated
- Product availability may affect timing
- If a specified product becomes unavailable, we may suggest a reasonable alternative
- Where the client supplies materials, we are not responsible for defects, delays, mismatch, or performance issues caused by those materials
7Access, Delays, and Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property and relevant work areas. You must:
- Ensure reasonable access at the agreed time
- Make us aware of any access restrictions, concierge procedures, parking limits, permits, or building rules
- Disclose relevant issues that may affect the work
- Ensure valuables, fragile items, and sensitive belongings are protected or removed where appropriate
- Ensure that any required permissions, approvals, or instructions from landlords, agents, tenants, building management, or other decision-makers are in place where necessary
Delays may arise due to access issues, client-side changes, late approvals, unavailable materials, or conditions discovered on site.
8Unforeseen Circumstances
Unforeseen circumstances may affect timing, attendance, or continuation of works. These may include, without limitation:
- Illness or bodily injury
- Family emergencies
- National events
- Transport disruption
- Supplier disruption
- Utility issues
- Severe weather
- Wider events outside our reasonable control
Handy 24/7 365 is not responsible for losses said to arise purely from such delays. Where reasonably possible, we will resume and complete the works once circumstances allow.
9Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let us know as early as possible.
Where a booking is cancelled after time has been reserved, materials have been purchased, or preparatory work has been carried out, we may retain or charge an amount that is reasonable to reflect losses, time reserved, materials purchased, administration, or other costs actually incurred.
Where consumer cancellation rights apply under law, nothing in these Terms removes those rights.
10Completion and Snagging
On completion, you should inspect the works as soon as reasonably possible and notify us promptly of any genuine snagging issues related to the agreed scope.
We will consider genuine snagging issues fairly and, where appropriate, arrange a reasonable return visit.
11Guarantee
Where stated, we offer a 1-year labour guarantee on workmanship carried out by us, subject to the following:
The guarantee does not cover:
- Fair wear and tear
- Accidental damage
- Misuse, neglect, impact, or interference by others
- Movement, structural issues, leaks, damp, settlement, or external causes beyond the original scope
- Materials supplied by the client
- Issues arising from pre-existing defects, hidden conditions, or matters outside the agreed works
Any guarantee applies only to the workmanship actually carried out by Handy 24/7 365 and only to the original client/property unless agreed otherwise in writing.
12Liability
We will carry out our services with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss
- We are not liable for pre-existing issues, hidden defects, or losses caused by information not disclosed to us
- We are not liable for delays or failure caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control
- Our liability for any claim relating to our services shall be limited to the amount paid for the relevant service, except where the law does not allow such a limitation
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13Photography, Records, and Communication
We may take photographs, notes, measurements, and records relating to a quote, booking, or completed works for operational, reporting, quality-control, insurance, training, or dispute-resolution purposes.
We will handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14Website Information
Information on our website is provided for general guidance. Service descriptions, response times, and examples are subject to change and do not create a binding obligation unless specifically agreed in writing.
15Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
16Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the updated date shown at the top.
